A few tips for your next term project:
1. "Begun" is one word, not two.
2. The word "stuff" is generally not used in academic writing.
3. Neither is the phrase "rocked out"
4. Please please please learn the correct use of the apostrophe in it's.
5. You have spell check on your computer. Use it, but proofread too. Deign and design are not the same thing.
Thank you.
Can you tell I've lost my patience with teaching lately??

LMAO! Here I thought it was just us high school teachers who get irritated by this "stuff". ;)
Be gun - could be a primitive short poem about dehumanization and survival in a violent society?
Do you know about the in the classroom forums at the Chronicle of Higher Education? My favorite so far is the "favorite" student e-mails, which can pretty reliably can make me laugh after a long day.
That is so funny!!!! I was just telling one of my undergrads about the difference between its and it's! Thank goodness they are all apparently like this.
"Being that alot a times theirs things that have a world impact ect."
LOL Thanks, I needed a smile in my day! I did my best to contribute. Erica, thanks for the link. Also, if you haven't yet, check out the book by Truss "Eats, Shoots & Leaves."
Thanks ladies! Erica, thanks for the link. That is hilarious, and I had never seen it before.
Caitsmom, LOVE that book. I should reread it to brush up, and I probably should make it required reading for all of those undergrads!
So after being disappointed in their grades, a bunch of them want to rewrite.... let the fun continue!
Delurking to say you are a kindred spirit (in more ways than one!). I've got a good one for you -- I work in the "Public Affairs Department." Only sometimes people will leave out a critical middle letter in that first word, which can lead to some pretty red faces. ; )
